Scientific profile of Department of Materials Science and Engineering which endorses this candidacy & will actively support the organization

In Greece, this is the only Engineering Department on Materials Science (there are two more departments but merely on Materials Science and not Engineering, in the University of Patras and the University of Crete).

"Biomaterials" is a clear aim of the Department.
The field of bioceramics is served by the staff of CCL.
